Book Review

Are you looking for a hot read with a story that will melt your heart and want in on from the ground up?  Seducing Cinderella is the first book in a new series by new author, Gina L. Maxwell. And what an explosive beginning it was!

I can admit I was drawn to the cover--I mean, what's NOT to love?  A drool-worthy tatt, a hardened chest with an amazing six-pack, and a MMA fighter as your hero?  I am so there.

What I wasn't expecting was a super read that held my attention the whole way through. That doesn't happen very often.  But when it does I want to hop to the rafters and do my pimpin' thing--YOU MUST READ THIS.

I immediately fell for Maxwell's hero, Reid Andrews. His multi-faceted personality hooked me from the get go and I fell for his charms. He was sweet, caring, protective, and artistic. A jack of all trades that had a potty mouth in the bedroom--my kryptonite.

Allow me demonstrate what I'm talking about:
Just then it hit him. “It’s a guy, isn’t it?”

Her hands stilled for only a moment, but it was long enough to give him the answer he was looking for. “Is it tender when I press here?”

Like bad heartburn, an unfamiliar lividity rose up for the general male population until he could aim it at the one who deserved it. Pushing up with his left arm he swung his body around to face her.

“What are you doing? I’m not done.”

“You are until you tell me who he is and what the hell he did,” he growled.

“Reid—”

“Quid pro quo, Lu. You tell me who made you cry and why, and I promise to not find out on my own, hunt him down, and kick his teeth down his throat for putting that look on your face.”

He almost regretted throwing down the harsh threat when her face blanched, but if that was the only way he could get her to open up, then so be it. “Here, hop up on the table. We’ll switch places,” he said as he stood. When she opened her mouth to brook an argument he narrowed his gaze to show her he wasn’t kidding. With a resigned sigh she did as he wanted, albeit not happily.

“There, now you’re the patient.” Despite the pain it caused in his shoulder, he braced his hands on either side of her hips, preventing an escape should she decide it was the better alternative. “So, Miss Miller,” he said looking into her soft gray eyes, “tell me where it hurts.”

What starts out as friendship, blooms quickly into love, leaving Reid's head spinning from the overwhelming emotions he has for his best friend's little sister. Not even the threat to his manly bits by Jackson, Lucie's older and overprotective brother, will stop the mind boggling and explosive chemistry between these two.

As I read the last words of Maxwell's highly erotic and emotional story, I quickly looked for more books by this talented romance author.  Much to my dismay, I have to put my hormones on hold and wait for book two--Rules of Engagement in the near future. I am happy to report that there are four books planned for this series titled:  Fighting For Love.   I am so there, Gina, baby--you have won me over.

Honey... This not fair you get to go away on a nice trip and I am stuck home trying to decide what I will be reading next. 1st it was Moonglow, then today I bought Stygian's Honor by Lora Leigh and now you had to put that amazing teaser in your awesome review... Yes Wickedly Delish is pouting... Make me feel better, come pick me up, hide me in your suitcase so I can play with you and not have to make this hard decision.

Have a great trip and look forward hearing all about it. Luv ya!!

I am so feeling the love from you right now, lol.
Whew--what a vacation. NOLA was great--although I didn't get drunk off my ass, I had such a great time hanging out with my gal pals. And there was this tee-tiny hole in the wall restaurant called Willy's Chicken Shack that had the most EPIC biscuits. LOL--it't the little things in life that excite me.
Now--back to books--Honey, I am always in a tither trying to decide what book to read next...I shouldn't have to be alone. Let me know what you think of Stygian's Honor--I kinda gave up on LL after her last few left a bitter taste in my mouth regarding editing issues.
Sooooooo---have you read Seducing Cinderella yet? Give me a shout out when you do.
      Have an awesome week!
